Use our new, handy tool to see which coaches have seats available. Standard coaches show more red the busier they are, and First Class more blue.
Or click on a coach to see which seats are occupied (red), reserved but unoccupied (amber), empty (green), or no data is available (grey).
This page is updated automatically around 5 minutes after the train leaves each stop - so please wait at least 5 minutes after boarding to see where the free seats are.
If you booked your train tickets direct at LNER.co.uk (or virgintrainseastcoast.com before 22 July 2018), you get free Wi-Fi for the whole of your journey. Just enter your passcode below - you can find this on your booking confirmation email. If you buy your ticket on board, you’ll also be shown the passcode on the payment screen.
If you didn’t book direct, you still get 15 minutes of Wi-Fi absolutely free, or for up to 10 hours of browsing heaven, it’s just a fiver.
Got halfway through writing a crucial email? Get back online by topping up for £5, which will give you a whole 10 hours of Wi-Fi. Or, if you’ve already got a passcode, just enter it below.
